We offer a range of free activities designed to support wellbeing, build confidence, and create a sense of community.

Our activities are open to RAMA clients and are designed to help you connect with others, learn new skills, and feel supported.

Rebreathe

Day: Wednesday
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Location: RAMA House
For: Parents and carers of children with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) in the Black African community
Description:
A supportive group focused on emotional wellbeing, shared experiences, and community support.

English Classes (ESOL)

RAMA House (Tuesday):

Clacton Baptist Church (Wednesday):
2:30pm – 4:30pm
Description:
Improve your English skills in a supportive and practical learning environment.

Homework Club (Adults & Children)

Day: Wednesday
Time: 4:15pm – 5:30pm
Location: Colchester Sixth Form College
Note: Term time only
Description:
Support with homework and learning in a friendly environment for both adults and children.

Sewing and Craft Group (Women only)

Day: Tuesday
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Location: RAMA House
Description:
A safe and welcoming space for women to learn sewing skills, share experiences, and build confidence.

Table Tennis

Day: Friday
Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Location: Colchester Sixth Form College

A fun and relaxed activity to stay active and meet new people.

Changing Lives Gym

Access: Free for RAMA clients
Description:
Gym access to support physical health and overall wellbeing.

Cooking Classes

Day: Monday
Time: 4:30pm – 5:45pm
Location: RAMA House
Description:
Learn practical cooking skills, share meals, and connect with others.

Barbers – Free Men’s Haircuts

Day: Monday
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: RAMA House
Description:
Free haircuts for men in a welcoming and respectful environment.

The Big Garden

Day: Wednesday
Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm
Description:
Learn gardening and cooking skills while enjoying time outdoors. This activity also supports wellbeing and social connection.
