- [Who we are](https://rama.org.uk/who-we-are/): RAMA (formerly Refugee Action Colchester) began as a grassroots response to the suffering and exploitation of refugees and asylum seekers in Calais during the summer of 2015. A small group of volunteers, moved by the hardship people endured, came together with a shared commitment to help in any way we could. Our early work opened our eyes to the challenges displaced people continue to face when they arrive in towns like Colchester.
